i have not started school yet and there is a 15% (1/7) chance of him being in my english class. i have a grudge because he was rude and annoying to me last {school} year.

1) is it stupid to still have a grudge?
2) is 15% a large chance that he will be in my class

Look, just because someone else has a grudge against someone DOES not make it right to bear a grudge.

In the long run, we will all die, so why not try to communicate our feelings towards and against each other so that we llive a HEALTHIER life? Bad communication has been the source of breakups across the century--and I am not talking merely about relationship ones; I'm talking about diplomatic misunderstandings that have lead to war, etc.

My personal view is that the bad in the world is a reflection of the evil in people's minds; we know what we HAVE to do to live a happy, healthier and stress-free life, and if we are not doing it, how can we not expect bad things to persist?

That goes also for relationship-building.

Have a grudge? Tell the person WHY you have a grudge and clear the air. People are rarely stupid when you get to talk to them face-to-face. The person you have a grudge against will end up feeling respected, and might just change. If they don't, at least, you would have gotten rid of the grudge.

Just some food for thought:-)

1. Stupid? Depends what you mean by stupid, but yeah, i guess it would qualify as stupid. Has having a grudge helped you in any way?
2. Now that doesn't depend on what you mean by stupid. Asking if 15% is a large chance is dumb if you're any older than a 3rd grader.

I don't think it is unreasonable that you have a grudge but I do think you should try to get past it. When you interact with this person, be neutral, he may have gotten past an awkward phase. If he tries his old tricks tell him you are disappointed that he didn't grow up over the summer, ask him if he learned ANYTHING in summer school, or maybe Mommy and Daddy just put him in daycare.

you don't need to hold a grudge against no one....... he might not be rude this year, who knows...... and he could be in your english class, just don't listen to him..........
