Im just curious... our KFC restaurants in Canada, even serve Poutine. I am curious to know what the heck you guys in the USA do with gravy if you arent using it for the french fries...... do you use it on the chicken??? or what??

Your KFC doesnt have french fries!! Wow I never knew how different the foods can be at the same restaurant!! KFC here in Canada doesnt serve mashed potatoes!! That is so wierd! I cant believe it, lol what a difference in culture. Just for the record I also use gravy on my mashed potatos and dip my dinner rolls in it too and also put it on chicken and turkey usually only at thanksgiving or christmas... but when you come to Canada and ask people what they use gravy for the response will be french fries, and Poutine!!!

HE HE HE...I am from the southern US and recently went to visit friends in Canada. The first time they ever took me to a KFC up there I was amazed at not only do you put gravy on your french fries but the side orders there were very limited. We put the gravy on our mashed potatoes. Also the other side orders here consist of red beans and rice, cole slaw, jalapeno peppers, corn on the cob, etc. But I do understand you Canadians love your gravy fries and they weren't bad I must admit. :)

I use it on french fries BUT we have mashed potatoes. Almost all mashed potatoes are served with gravy.

Mashed potatoes, of course, is the obvious answer. But let us not forget the biscuits!! Best choice: Biscuits dipped in mashed potatoes AND gravy. :-)

The gravy isn't a dipping sauce, hon. Call me crazy, but I have ketsup with the fries. I usually don't order gravy, but, if I do, alot of people put a little gravy on their mashed potatoes.
That's a funny picture though, "...hey, where's the gravy? I need to pour some on my fries!" LOL! I needed a good laugh today! Thanks!!

our KFC's don't have fries we have mashed potatoes however I live in the south and there are allot of restaurants that serve fries w/gravy (sometimes called swamp fries)
