I've got this useless load of a room mate who never buys any food, but always helps himself to mine. I've spoken with him time and again about this, but he hasn't changed. So, last friday, I got him good.

I took an empty pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream, and placed some of my turds inside. I then added some crushed peanuts, marshmallow cream and chocolate syrup, then mixed it all together. I placed it in the freezer and sure enough, he got into it later, actually eating a spoonful before he realized what it was. Boy was he pissed.

He actually came at me, but I knocked him down. He's not much of a fighter anyways. Problem is that now this issue is being addressed by the police and the apartment management. Anyone else ever have this sort of problem with a room mate?

That is so funny... I totally understand you and agree with you, I mean you talked to him and he still ate all of your food, then what else could you have done? You had to stop him somehow. You can't call the police just because your roommate is eating all of your food.
(But when you stop him, they call the police! Damn, life is not fair :)))

haha wish i would have thought of that with my last crappy roomate!! she moved her bf into our 1 bedroom apartment, didn't even ask if it was ok!!!!! anyway, the best thing to do is move out if you aren't under a lease, that's what i did. If you are and the lease is in your name, you can kick him out. If it is being addressed by the apt. managers already though, you might both get kicked out. Im sorry to hear about your bad experience, I know how bad it is to have crappy roomies! But just be careful next time, get a lease in your name only, then find a roomate and SCREEN THEM!! Hopefully you will get someone better. Better yet, ask one of your friends, whom you already know well, to move in with you.
Good Luck!!

I think it would have been more appropriate to have put a lock on your freezer and food cupboards, what you did was disgusting - it's not even funny, your room mate may have problems but I think your problems are even worse - you need to take a good, long look at yourself.

Kick him out!! Is the lease in your name? Tell the management about the situation and see what can be done.
Good luck...
