I'm Canadian and worked in the States for 6 years.
I say Mexico wins hand's down!

I'm from Canada, so I'd guess Mexico. I don't really consider the U.S. a "foreign" country for some reason, maybe because we both mainly speak English, so maybe they don't consider us "foreign". Mexico speaks mainly Spanish which is not as common as English in our countries.

It would be a real toss up.... as a large number of the population is Mexican, and it borders the US, that might be a good guess, followed second by Canada, Great Britain, France, Iraq, Iran, China and Kuwait - perhaps also Saudi Arabia, as it is known because of Oil... and don't forget "Cuba."

Most Americans are pretty ignorant about other cultures. Mexico and Canada are the ones best known. Most of us speak (and learn) only one language--English--and some don't even speak that one well.

Most americans are woefully ignorant when it comes to such questions. I would have to say that Mexico is probably the most well-known. The real question however is whether most americans could find it on a map. :)

I'd say Mexico since they're more hated than the Canadians so they're mentioned more. But Canada maybe second.

I think most Americans have heard about Mexico. Many would be able to mention Canada as well.
