I am a disabled person that had many relationships in Singapore. Many times It couldn't really work out because of parental objections. Some fought hard till they are too tired. Some gave up without a fight. It's easy to say you would if it's someone else daughter. What would you say if it's really really YOUR daughter?

I have never been in this situation, so I can't really answer you. Personally, I feel that all parents want the best for their children. They really wanted to know if their kids is dating the correct guys/gals. Some parents feel that dating with a disabled person is a burden to their kids but they always forget the fact everybody derserved the same kind of love as others no matter good looking or ugly we are. But if I do have a daughter, i think I will really respect her decision and not compiled her to made a decision against her wishes.

Are you asking if I would want my daughter to date a disabled person? I have never been in this situation so how do I honestly know.Of course I might have some concerns but then a parent seems to have some issues with whomever their little girls date.I would like to think it wouldn't matter since I have family members who have limitations and it gave me some incite into how even though we may be different,in many ways we are the same.Don't give up,there is someone out there waiting for you.
