chances are your cell phone isnt going to work due to the water damage. If it does work again its just a matter of time before it starts to malfuction. The best thing to do when you get your cell phone gets wet is to put it down and not shake it or anything and let it dry. But yours is probably gone. sorry you're going to have to get a new one in the near future.

It's not going to act right either,it's a known fact that's a cell phones worst nightmare, ask some of your friends,if they've had that happen to them, I'm sure they'll tell you. Just a cute detail that I just learned myself,,just about all cell phones today have a little chip that turns to a different color the second it comes in contact with water, taking the phone back to the dealer isn't going to work any longer, once they pop it open see water damage signal, any problem with the phone is now your problem.LATER

My Treo got wet one time and didn't work. After it dried out overnight it was fine. I might have just been lucky but if you are not ready to spend the money on a new one, I would try letting it dry out before you run to the cell store.

Pull the battery off and let it dry out. We've had this happen with our phones, and after a few days, they usually work again.

Sometimes, just letting it dry out for a few days works.

Put it in the airing cupboard for a few days. It will probably dry out eventually and your towels and sheets can take messages for you :-)

Take it apart and let it totally dry out, it might still work.
