Any three conencted points makes a triangle (that don't overlap).

Any three real points will define a triangle if you use them as vertices as long as they are not all points on the same line.

Get out your graph paper and plot each of those points and use a straight edge to connect them. A will be in the lower left quadrant, and B and C will be in the upper right quadrant.

It's been a while, but I think you're talking xy axis. This triangle is possible. Just draw it out on a graph. I think two sides would be equal because two of them would have the same slope - 1/3. Draw it on a graph and look at the sides AB and BC. You go one spot on the x axis and 3 on the y axis for both of these sides.
