For the love of God.... GO WATCH YOUR FLORIDA MARLINS!!!

What a ballclub! They're the youngest team in the majors... other than Willis they're a bunch of no-names... lowest payroll in baseball... Girardi's a rookie manager... pre-season expectations had them losing 100 games this season... Girardi and Laurie (the owner) are going at it in full view of fans... Marlins baseball has it all!

Oh ya... They're over .500 now and contending for a playoff spot.

And this after being 20 games under .500 at one point!!

Well, if you're going to lose one game, the first of the year is the one to drop because it hurts a lot less in the rankings than it would later in the year.

That being said, I agree that they're done. Personally, what I'll do is hope and pray that the administrators realize that Larry Coker really isn't a great coach, and that he won a national championship because he had great talent that would have made it hard to lose. He was outcoached badly last night, which happens far too often - the best example is the national championship game against the Buckeyes, when Jim Tressel put on a coaching clinic in leading his team over a much stronger and deeper Miami.

I think Coker needs to go, and we need to get someone in who can do some serious recruiting. Miami is starting to fall behind FSU again in scooping local talent, and that can't happen. I'm hoping last night was a one-off, but I really think it's a sign of things to come this season. I guess I'll just get ready for the NFL!

Sorry for the rant - I get pretty worked up when I talk about the Hurricanes.

I didn't watch last nigh's game, but keep it in perspective. A loss early in the season is practically forgotten about in the polls by the end of the year. If you're a fan, just hope that the Canes run the table.
And failing that, root for my Eagles (NFL, of course).

If you're a Canes fan your faith in your team is pathetic. They're still favored to win their division in the ACC and they could easily wind up in a BCS bowl or theoretically the BCS title game!!

Root for the USC Trojans, of course!

In any event, I wouldn't give up ont he Canes just yet- one bad break does not a season make...

Y'all weren't gonna go undefeated anyway.
