Most starches are bad for dogs, but I don’t think it makes them go nuts or anything. it just decreases their quality of life. Almost all low-grade dog food (what you can buy at the grocery store from store brand up to Iams) has corn in it as a primary ingredient, that is not very nutritious for dogs, and they end up pooping a lot (often diarrhea) have poor skin (eczema, scrofulous itch, etc) and have shorter life spans. Do your pup a favor, keep the starches to a minimum & keep him fed with a high quality high protein food (such as nutro-max) that you can buy at the vets office or a pet store.

It might be pissed because it was on the Adkins or South Beach Diet and you messed up its game. Dogs can't read, so they can't determine the carb count on the foods they eat. They rely on us for that. If its not worried about carbs, than potatoes are probably ok. The dog may even like them.

I hope not--my dog's crazy enough as it is. I can't make her understand that she doesn't get chocolate just because she's a chocolate lab!

i don't think so, but if you give dogs sweets like candies and those stuffs, they'll go mad, they won't recognize you and bite you...
