Forward his emails to you to your H.R. person. And tell the H.R. person you do not like his advances. He'll stop.

Keep all the emails and make of log of anything he does that makes you feel uncomfortable. Inform your manager and if needs be speak to the HR department, he has no right to harrass you.

Direct approach is required with this type of person. Write back "I am not interested in talking, flirting, dating, or learning more about your personal life. If you continue I will report this to Human Resources." Keep the copy, get a receipt of the e-mail if your system will give u one.

Tell him he is making you feel uncomfortable and if possible have someone with you when you tell this guy this that way your butt is covered in case he tries to get you into trouble. Tell him you are not interested. If he doesn't listen, ask him if he is aware of the law of Sexual Harrassment, that should get him to leave you alone.

Next time he emails, send him one about a job he could be doing. Next time he stops by at your cubicle, remind him of a job he needs to do and then get back to your work. If you don't know what he needs to do, say what you do, then do it and calmly ignore that he's still standing there. It's not because he's ugly that I'd do it, it's because I don't like him and don't like someone distracting me from work.

Keep your responses to a minimum, be civil and standoffish but not rude.

You could always try talking about other men within his earshot.

Failing that, take him to one side and tell him straight. Another option is to talk to a friend of his, get him to do something about it.

If you're not comfortable with that, talk to his manager - but that really is a last resort: he is, after all, only being "friendly."

The key thing is to keep the barriers up, don't encourage him, but do it nicely - you have got to work with him remember.

In a nice way just tell him to stop, you are not interested and it makes you feel uncomfortable. If he doesn't stop then be more blunt

Tell him to his face to stop emailing you or you will forward his email to your boss and file a sexual harassment grievance about him. You can say it nicely. He'll stop. If he doesn't, do exactly what you say you will do. Now dust off those balls and go for it! Godloveya!
