i guess it depends on what the wrong thing is, but i'd choose the wrong thing for the right reason. everyone has to do the wrong thing at some point.

It's always better to do the right thing because that's more likely to affect other people, whereas your motivation only affects you.
If you do the wrong thing, it doesn't matter how good your intentions were if it was the wrong thing to do.
