I am not an American, but from some of the reactions here on Answers, some Americans regard the Democratic Party as Wimps, Defeatists, Monsters, etc., in short, everything the Republicans supposedly are not.
Well, I have news for you. Many Dems support Bush on Illegal Immigration, the War in Iraq, etc. And many Republicans, oppose Bush on these same issues. To me the main difference seems to be that the Democrats will look at possible consequences before acting, (and that is NOT bad) whereas Bush and his cronies believe in 'Shoot first, then ask questions'. (Which shows a certain lack of vision)
I speak for the rest of the world when I beg you: Please get rid of Bush and his band of´'Christian Fascists'.
It's time to sit down and talk to all parties concerned, and if that doesn't work, the West must act decisively.
What if Iran really doesn't want nuclear weapons, as they state over and over?
Why can't the US realise that blindly supporting Israel is a major cause of discontent

As an outsider, I see the Democratic Party as more intellectual and open-minded, and the Republicans as more populist and narrow-minded. Many Answerers are going to tell me to keep my nose out of American politics, but while your shortsighted and ill-conceived policies are affecting me and the rest of the world, we have a right to speak out.

Debi K: I am not advocating the annihilation of Israel. I am saying that it's time to sit down and talk, war has been tried, and only breeds more war and terrorism. Israel must find a way of being accepted in the Middle East, and that can only be done through TALKS.

After hearing what you have to say, I'm really starting to think that America would be better off if everybody in the world was allowed to vote in America except us Americans. I'm not at all being sarcastic. You make more sense than nine out of ten of us here in the US, in either of the two main parties. I, myself, am a member of the Green Party, but I will be voting for the democrats because this currrent party of traitors needs to be removed as quickly as possible. We're already six years too late and probably 150 years behind. We have to start somewhere.
Bush is a Christian in the same sense that Hitler was a good Catholic boy. Every one of these "christians" profess to be a good, wholesome, God- fearing Bible-reader, a hundred-million "christians" who apparently have never touched a Bible or stayed awake through a single sermon.
The Jesus I believe in threw the money-changers out of the Temple. In BushSpeak, the money-changers ARE the temple.
The Jesus I know preached peace and He loved everybody, even those of other religions or no religion at all. In BushSpeak, like you said, we shoot (or bomb, as is the case) first and ask questions later. Or, more accurately, we ask all the wrong people these few questions and hope to hell that no one with any sense asks any questions at all.
The Jesus I know loved the poor and that's who He spent most of His life with. In BushSpeak, no one counts at all except for the filthy rich. There is no middle class here anymore. We're all poor, whether we admit it or not. And Mr. Bush hasn't even begun to pay our bills yet, nor will he ever. He ran up the nine-trillion dollar tab, but he'll leave it entirely for the democrats to pay, exactly as his father and Mr. Reagan did with their one-trillion dollar tab. And if the middle-class, the working class, and the poor are suffering now, imagine what it will be like when we actually have to pay these bills. Only about one trillion dollars of this has gone to war and defense. The rest has gone to the rich because of the repeal of the Estate tax, but only for the rich, and the repeal of the dividend tax, which is also only truly helping the rich. The three poorest classes are paying for all this while they're almost starving. I'm sure Jesus is weeping.
I could go on and on with this, but, like I said, how can what Bush has done for six years possibly be regarded as "Christian" or anything even remotely related to "Family Values"? What I see is the worship of false gods and pagan idols-- money, power, and pure Greed. Morality includes so much more than Mr. Clinton's marital indiscretions. Morality also precludes thievery, oppression, and denial of one's Human Rights. And I don't even want to get started on Patriotism, not when every cemetery in this once-great Nation is full of good, honorable men who gave their lives defending Freedom and that one piece of paper that guarantees it, the US Constitution of 1787. Which Mr. Bush said of, and I quote: "It's just a god*amned piece of paper!"
I believe it's possible that Iran only wants nuclear power, not nuclear weapons. After the horrible way Bush, Cheney, Rice, and Rumsfeld lied through their teeth to get their war in Iraq, I would believe nothing coming out of their mouths ever again when it comes to initiating war. Not when they have the arrogance and the audacity to say, "So what if Iraq didn't have weapons of mass destruction and they didn't help in 9/11 like we said when we started this war? So what. We got rid of Saddam Hussein and if we had it to do all over again, we wouldn't change a thing." They are absolutely and truly shameless in their lying. And when caught like this, they have no need to apologize, so they have no morality, ethics, or conscience between any of them.
In my Country we have a child's bedtime story called "The little boy who cried wolf." I'm sure you've heard it. A little boy keeps crying "wolf!" when there is no wolf. Eventually, there really is a wolf and I presume he got eaten, because nobody believed him anymore. In the story, the little boy did it three times before it caught up to him. But when you're the top four officials in the US government, you should only get to cry "Wolf!" and get caught lying through your collective teeth once.
I believe in supporting Israel, but not blindly. As you can clearly see here, I love America but I don't even support my own beloved Country blindly, not when it's so obviously wrong and against its own best interests. I feel the same about Israel. It's hard to think of them as being the perpetual victim when they're doing so much victimizing and terrorizing. But then, both sides are. I like to support a side that's obviously right. Here, all I see are two wrongs. It's too close to call which is worse than the other, but, for the first time in my life, I'm not supporting Israel just because it's Israel. They've committed some atrocities lately, too, and they, of all people, should know better.
Sooner or later sanity will return to my own Country. The USA has never sunken lower in every single relevant category, and what probably bothers me most, even more than being almost nine-trillion dollars in debt to the Red Chinese, is the way the rest of the world perceives us. We've spent 224 years defending the rest of the world, and only six years lying to it and taking over parts of it under false pretexts. Only about a third of my Nation still supports this, so they ARE on their way out, the "christian" fascists. Slowly at first, but when it happens, it will probably be for a long, long time.
Yes, Tokoloshimani, you have a right to speak out. We all do.
Peace and love from America.

Oh you are opening a can of worms on this one, lol.
As for the first question about the democratic presidency and congress. You will hear that no matter what party is in control. One isn't better than the other, true. They both have their own self serving agendas. History has shown the "BEST" form of govt. is one being ran by a President of one party and a Congress of the other. Keeps things on an even keel.
Bush isn't the only one to blame, Congress supported him (even the democrats), the entire govt. is at fault not just one man. I won't get into the whole "bush is a monster, christian facists" thing, thats been said, done, and worn out. Bush will be out of office soon enough, and then the rest of the world can start complaining about the next president.

That you claim to speak for the rest of the world is an example of the world's arrogance as well. You over-generalize the political parties and the stances presented by President Bush. So while Europe looks to sit down and talk to all the parties involved in terrorism, the US will have to take care of the problem.
Iran has been trying to develop nukes since the Ayatollahs took over. Or do they just need the nuclear power?

i agree with you to a degree. israel has a right to exist too, and why can't other countries see this? they were stolen from their country to be used as slaves, they were used again as slaves in germany and systematically exterminated, tried to be wiped from the face of the earth, and when they finally get back to their homeland, they are hated there too. if the arabs and jews could sit down together and just discuss family history, they would probably find that great great grandpa was both of their grandpas. they are family, torn apart. why can't they be left alone to try to be home again? to try to find peace and permanence. they only occupy eight thousand square miles, as opposed to the rest of the arab world occupying more than 2 million miles. iran does not want to have nuclear capability for anything other than weapons. they keep saying israel needs to be wiped from the face of the earth. how else are they going to do this. the rest of the world needs to sit up and take notice of iran. it's leader is crazy. do you really think they will be happy with just getting rid of israel? nope, it will then be the "infidels". according to them, all of us are infidels. and, by the way, why can't the rest of the world question why israel is always being picked on? why do you say terrorisim would stop if no one helped israel? in iraq, sunnis and shiites are killing each other, and that has nothing to do with israel. how can you turn your backs on such a small country that only fights back when they are attacked? pick on that big iran that wants to annhilate a small community for no good reason, other than to have a fight, a reason to have nuclear weapons. get your head out of where it is, and see things clearly.

Remember how many stupid people voted for Bush? Those are the same ones whining about the "danger" of a Democratic win.
What you say is all too true. Unless America returns to a truly responsive government and its core principles, it is doomed as a world leader.

because the republican party is really great at fooling the american public. they make many of us american's think that george bush is a 'good ole souther boy' when he was born and raised in maine and went to an ivy league school. they fooled many people into thinking john kerry was a coward when he was an american hero and they have convinced us into thinking that the democratic party was weak by bombing a couple countries.
