For example, if I am male and I am getting a massage from another male, why am I not allowing to be nude for the massage? If he has a lingam and I have a lingam, is shouldn't be such a big deal. I would understand the problem if it were the opposite sex, but why are so many Indians painfully shy about the human body?

Taboos about nudity are common in many cultures. Americans are in general extremely sensitive about nudity - so it isn't just an Indian thing. Europeans are generally much more comfortable with nudity.

I would ask your masseur if he minds you removing the covering. It's certainly more comfortable not to have anything on the body during a full body massage, and many professional masseurs will allow this.

Hmmm....

I've happen to see many Indians living in brazil that don;t have a problem with going around naked. It's natural, i couldn't do it now because ive lived in the western world. (unfortunately.)
