The most difficult part is to get the clients. To clean a good size office, you have to be insured and bonded. They will ask for prove of them. I don't know were you live, but when I started my business in Jersey, I did it cleaning houses first. I went door to door, leaving flayers in each one. From there, I stared getting little offices ( doctors, lawyers, etc ) If you do a good job, the will recommend you to other clients. And you are right, the money is at least 4 time better than working for somebody else. Good luck!

I started out cleaning for someone else then i took off on my own and started cleaning businesses. Mine started by cleaning the offices of the company that my husband works for. I only do this one now but use to do more and there is very good money in it. If you know someone then you can try to get your foot in the door that way. Or have some business cards made up and go to the businesses you would like to clean. Make sure you know what you should be charging so you don't cheat yourself. good luck

My brother's friend started his own company. What he did was type up a nice letter telling a prospective customer about himself and how their company would benefit from his company cleaning their offices and I started with the "A's" of the business section of the phone book and mailed out the letters. He got a lot of business that way. He also went to different office building and introduced himself and left them the same information about himself and his company. Also go and get yourself a tax exempt form so when you buy your supplies you do not get taxed
Good Luck to you and I hope this helped out.

You can learn alot from your boss, start out with a small job. Go have flyers made or call offices and ask to meet with them. Observe how your boss does it. Ask him if you could maybe move into sales. If not you could be underhanded and steal some of the business that your boss does I can bet it would get you fired if he caught you but depends if it's worth it to you??? you also need to consider do you have the man power and the money it takes to do the jobs yourself?
Good Luck!!!

i work in a doctors office and we have many people who come in and leave business cards for different services they offer.... the thing to do is get some business cards made up and go around to offices and market yourself...let people know that your service is available...going in person gives the personal touch...true it may get the door slammed in your face a few times but so what? its worth it if it gets you even one deal......good luck
