I've always wondered about that myself. Maybe there needs to be a light in the fridge to do something about bacteria? Maybe because the fridge is used more often than the freezer? HHmmmm. I might have to call Kenmore and see if they know. You got me thinking about it now.

my freezer has a light. refrigerators that typically come with trailers do not have a light in the freezer. You may want to upgrade.

because you can open the refrigerator to look in the freezer but you dont need to open the freezer to look in the refrigerator

the light bulb in the freezer would crack or explode from the extreme temperature changes of being off and heating up when the door opened

maybe the refrigertaor needs light for the food cuz you keep more food in that then in ur freezer and ur freezer keeps everything so cold.

stange i was thinking that last night ,i think its to give you more room for food as if you leave a gap u use more electric ,and there is more chance of your freezer over freezing and ice building up could break the glass of the light,and the intense cold could also break the glass
