For me it is 100% Queen. I went to the tribute show after Freddie died and it was amazing. I never got to see them live...I kept saying next time...
Happy birthday Freddie!

Squidgey - The last queen concert with freddie was Knebworth park in '86. so either you mean the 80's and not the 90's or you saw the tribute concert.

It's like comparing Apples and Oranges between the style of music. But as for the concerts -- it has to be Queen. I attended my first Queen show back in the late 70's and then the Queen/Paul Rodgers concert on March 10 of this year in Worcester, Massachusetts and the Stones in East Hartford, Connecticut at the new UConn Football field.

Even without Freddie it was a banging show. They far surpassed anything Mick and the Boys could do. Hell, I'd travel cross country to see that show with Brian May and Roger Taylor again. Too bad John Deacon didn't join his mates. Paul Rodgers did a phenomenal job on vocals.

PS A new CD is being released in England in honor of Freddie's 60th birthday. Check out www.queenonline.com!!!

I can't see how anyone could compare the two besides that they are both British. Weather you like The Stones or not, they are just about the quintessential Rock band. Even though they are sometimes "sell-outs", ex:Superbowl, their music is very diverse with a blues background and great percussion. They are great entertainers and really give their fans their moneys worth live. Can't say that for too many bands these days! Queen is not even in the same league. They are really stretching music when they are in the Rock category. I really don't think there is anything impressive about them. They don't do anything for me. Wouldn't mind if I never heard a single note from them again.

I'm proud to say I was at Freddie's last ever concert at Knebworth in 1986. I'll never forget Radio Gaga with over 100,000 people doing the hand clap bit.

Awesome!

Has got to be Queen, have seen them twice once in the seventies and once in the nineties and Freddy was the greatest showman there is, who can forget Live aid when he got the whole world clapping to Radio gaga and stole the show, he was a real genius!

Queen. The Stones are nothing but a self-parody these days. Freddie Mercury was a better frontman than Mick Jagger could ever be...
