If you did not like him move on, if you did send him a message. What was your favorite moment from the show.

I did not know him personally bu the seemed to be a good guy. He and his wife had anawsome relationship form what i can tell, and he was able to make americans care about animals. that may be his biggest accomplishment.
His death shocked me because i was beginning to believe no animal alive could hurt him, i know it sounds crazy but the things i saw him do were amazing.

This is a really sad moment in history.. he had a heart of gold, kind nature and was the best Australian icon ever, what a depressing ending to ones life, at the young age of 44, with his 2 children and his soul-mate, his wife...

Steve Irwin, I never met you but your dedication towards the animals made a big place for you in my heart, and I have cried a river for you and I shall cry some more. May you rest in peace and God help your family who have to live with losing their most beloved person..

Wish you were still here...the world will never be the same without you..

It has been said that Steve himself felt that a lot of Australians might have been embarrassed by his demenour on the international stage. Whilst he really hammed-up the Ocker attitude (very few people in Australia actually say "Crickey" with a straight face), I don't feel at all embarrassed by his ambassadorship for our nation. I would have said this to him, if I'd had the chance.

My condolences go to his wife and children, and all those who loved him. He really was a larger-than-life character, and will be missed. It was a total shock to hear the news yesterday (Australian time). We are all in mourning. Thanks Steve, for all that you did for Aussie fauna, and the environment. May we all contribute to the sustainability of our natural resources the way you did.

P.S. Funnily enough, I have never seen an actual episode of his show. I have seen quite a bit of his footage though. He was a prolific documentary maker.

Though I am not totally suprised at the way he died, it really floored me to learn of his passing. But, he died doing what he loved most in all of the world. we should all be so lucky. He will be greatly missed...

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow;
I am the sunlight on ripened grain;
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

The only reason the stingrays barb was able to pierce Steve’s heart, was because Steve’s heart was so big. From watching his shows, it was easy to see that the only thing Steve loved more than wildlife was his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Terri, Bindi and Bob. His loss is a great one that the world will not soon get over. Crikey, we’ll miss ya, Mate.

In some ways, I would think that his shows were sometimes a little over the top, or even "silly." However, when it was all said and done, I enjoyed his work and learned from him. For that I am quite truthfully thankful. When you add to that the fact that by all accounts he was a good dad, a good husband, and a good guy, I was saddened to see him pass so soon. Maybe he was too close to the ray, but it really was a fluke that he was mortally wounded in the way that he was.

Go with God Mate!

everybody right here who's crying like they knew the guy make me sick. this might nicely be a guy who grew to become well-liked fairly through fact of wildife voyuerism. Everytime he tempted death we watched. Is it rather incorrect for me to root for the animal. won't be able to nature ever win and each each and every now and then beat guy? Does it would desire to have a satisfied ending? i prefer to be certain his death - tutor the video. i'm as a rule shocked he lived this long. this might nicely be a guy who flaunted Darwin's regulation. You ain't the fittest anymore - Steve Irwin, RIP you vast fool.

I liked Steve Irwin a lot because he was so freakin' PASSIONATE about his work!!!! If the whole world could have at least 1/4 of his passion for their jobs this world would be a much better place in my opinion.

RIP Steve..........prayers to his family..........there are many moments from his show that myself and family liked. He had an informative show and you could see his love and passion for the animals. And he did say in one interview that he would rather wrestle a croc than get married. He was so nervous when he married Terri
