pretty much...
All you need is the WinXP CD and the serial number.
Insert the CD into the drive and reboot the computer. If your computer is set to boot from the CD, it should start automatically and take you to the dos-based Windows setup. If not, you can start the set-up from Windows itself and it will reboot and continue from there.
Just follow the instructions on-screen and you should be OK.
Remember...doing this will delete the current windows install and all data on that partition. Make sure you back up anything you don't want to lose.

You need a WinXP CD and a serial number.
You must open your computer and immediate put the CD in your CD-ROM.
Your computer will grasp your CD and will start to install.
After that computer will ask you what do you want to do with partition.
Do you want to delete your partition, or to add another one.
after that your hard disk C: will delete and there will install windows XP.

You can partition and format through Windows setup using the CD. It's very easy to do.

It's not idiot-proof. It's usually easy, but things come up sometimes that you might not understand, depending on your computer skills.
