Well, Hillary Clinton is certainly in favor of it, and trying to bring it to happen.

Quite honestly, it would never work. The needs of the different peoples are so diverse that universal laws can't be applied.

One Universal Government is both essential and would be disastrous. It is essential because of need to control climate change, to control the global economy and to prevent the use of weapons of mass distruction, including nuclear weapons amongst others. It would be disastrous because all the past evidence is that sooner or later governments get into the hands of a few unscrupulous people, and historically the way out has been for refugees to find another state. If there were one totalitarian government it would make all our lives a misery.

Actually, in practice most of the states today do work fiarly effectively through the United Noations and related agencies in relation to certain uncontroversial worldwide issues such as health issues (like "bird flu"). However, nation states are not going to hand over their sovereignty to a world government any time in the near future.

The one thing, not at all desirable in itself, that would make World Givernment work is an immediate threat from extraterrestrials. Nations can combine and forget their differences one faced by a potentially overwhelming external threat.

Sorry this anwer is not very cheerful but it is as I see it. The cool thing to do is to get on with life getting tangled up with our miserable governments as little as possible.

often times the left is going so far to the left that it feels like this is on the far right. As an severe, seem on the tiny distinction between Hitler and Stalin. there is in right here a sprint of why we've not got customary wellness assurance. The left needs too plenty administration and could have a organic tendency, many times couched in terms of "being honest," to decrease the care available exterior the government gadget. the spectacular will basically as for sure dislike any government gadget basically because of the fact this is governmental. As standard, the two aspects are very incorrect. we choose an user-friendly point of customary wellness care, for numerous motives: (a million) there is the user-friendly humanitarian element, (2) we land up procuring various care that superior preventive amenities ought to steer away from, and (3) some element of wellness care are such as a public application. on the different hand, we choose the deepest sector for innovation and superior care, and no volume of altruism will substitute for the income reason. Washington politics is so polarized those days, nonetheless, that there is very almost no possibility of clever compromise.

I would like to see a united earth at some point but it won't happen. People are greedy, small minded, and petty things. I don't think anyone could be trusted with the fate of the earth, look at bush.
