I have been waiting for almost a year and a half to recieve any kind of payments from my sons father through Child Suport Enforcement. He was suppose to start paying in May but decided to appeal the case because he thought it was too much money. He makes over thirty dollars an hour. Too much money my ***! He's just another sorry excuse for a human.

So anyways, when I called the Child Support Office they told me it could take up to three months longer. It's been almost four. I'm tired of this **** they keep dicking me around. Does anyone know of anyting else I could try? I was told once that I could go to the courthouse without a lawyer and just have the judge settle it there does anyone know if that is true?

Yes you can file without a lawyer. You can get the forms you need from the circuit clerk of your county. There will be a filing fee, though. Does he live in a different county? If yes, check to see which county is cheaper. I'm from LaSalle Co. and now live in DeKalb Co. and it is cheaper in LaSalle co.(the filing fees) You need to get meaner with CSE people-they will keep dicking you around as long as they can.

Every father has a moral obligation to support his children financially.....dead beat dads give the rest of us a bad name. You have every right to go after him legally. I would be fustrated if I had to wait as long as you too. Hang in there, eventually the wheels of justice will catch up to him.

Sorry that I don't have any advice....I just wanted to offer you my suppport. Good luck.

call the court clerk and ask him/her. you should be able to collect money from one of the social services and they in turn will garnish his wages ... even though he appealed, i believe he is still supposed to be making payments as the judge instructed while its on appeal ... if he wins the appeal, the amount will be reduced. you might also contact the judge who ruled in the case since by his not paying anything, he is in contempt of court ... good luck
