That there are some people who are capable of loving us more than we can love ourselves; and they make us to be what we cannot be on our own. If for example a third person comes along with a greater love for someone we love with all our heart, we will feel terribly jealous. Do we feel jealous against people who love us but we cannot realise jealousy, as we are also the objects of their love?
And then when people find their own way to love us the feelings are further augmented?

to be honest you confused me a bit..love hurts because not everyone loves in the same way as us. so when we realize this, we think other love except for ours is no love -so egoistic- and we hurt thinking weve loved a person who didnt deserve it,when actually he might love us more...but another case is people with complexes, maybe hurted themselves, who try to do whats possible to make you feel like they once did...they are so alike though with regular ones that u dont notice in the beginning...and thats when we say it hurts. because this is pain with regret for the time you spent,you know.pain itself doesnt hurt that much,and can have even positive effect on you,make you think and change you...Good to see you again!!

Exactly. There is competition for love. Love is nothing but a craving for attention. That element or factor is in very short supply. There is always a demand for more, that too toward us. We have grown among other children at home and or school. Whoever listens to us or says something to us that was special. In the given time if the same attention goes to the others, that much time and chance is lost to us, and we remain hungry in the No attention pauses. We develop the art or skills or armory to get attention (love), and in the process dislike others who have got more than what we have in the area of love. We become adults, we date and woo for partners, we grow old and become children again. Love is very selfish and biological need on one angle and highly pious and ethereal element on the other hand for poets to pean on. One way to get out of the shackles of love is go spiritual. There even, if the icon of God is visible and is involved in figures, there will be tendency again to fall in love with god or gods and no way is there to be rid of affectation of love.

people can love us more than we love ourselves because they don't live inside our heads but does love hurt, it is an emotion and emotions can be good or painfull. So, conclusion is yes when it all goes wrong, or one of the partnership wants to love more than one, and this is where the pain bit applies...even when there are no problems it can still hurt..So I suppose my answer is yes.

This is a very complicated question. I'm not too sure why love hurts. I just know that love hurts when I can't be with that person because my heart yearns to see them or be with them...and your heart hurts because you miss them and want to be with them because they make you happy and feel good when you're with them and it just hurts when you can't have that.....Yes, i think that you could love someone because they see you as someone that you want to be or could be...its strange how different people see different things in you. Usually its just something that person possesses within themselves and they see it in you too....and they love you because they either see themselves in you or something that they want to be like...Jealously is complicated...its usually insecurity...not love.
