How many pages will it make?

How many pages will a book be if the manuscript on 8 1/2" by 11" (A4 paper) is 186 pages?

You have to work it out by word count. A 320 page paperback is about 96,000 words....give or take a few depending on how much dialogue you include.

Allow an average of 300 words to a page, that should allow for half pages, new paragraphs and dialogue.

That varies. One of my 300 pp mss came out at 388 pp in the published form. If you go by word count, 50,000 words will be arounf 180 pages of published book.
