It's the quality of the answer, and for some people who make 'friends' on here or have a rapport with certain people, they tend to give each other best answers sometimes because they learn things about each other. I choose the best answer with my heart, and once in a while, when I find it hard to choose, so to the person I don't choose, I send them a message on their 360

I usually choose on the quality of the answer. It doesn't matter to me what their avatar looks like. If it's an opinion based question then I usually choose the answer which would be most like my own.

When I ask a question and I pick a best answer I pick the one that seems to know what they are talking about, especially if its a serious question, but if its a fun question I will usually give the points to the person that makes me laugh.
