There are many ways....
Hold clothing and food drives.
Ask for donations too! A lot of the bigger companies will give charitable donations if you can provide them with the tax ID for it.
Recently, I made candles for kids w-Cancer. They held a raffle and sold tickets for a lot of great things, like hotel stays, Cedar Point tickets, Walmart giftcard, and highly scented home made candles. I'm thinking about getting back into the hobby now that my kids are off to school. Maybe I could help ~ where are you located?
IT IS TRUE THAT CHARITY STARTS AT HOME, THIS ALSO MEANS OUR COMMUNITY.
THANKS FOR CARING, HELPING, & LOVING!

Habitat for Humanity
Start a canned food drive for a shelter
Start a donation drive for people to bring their old clothes to
Go to local business and ask them to donate items for an auction to raise money
Hold an auction and have people buy tickets to participate

It seems to me everyone wants to help people somewhere else. What's wrong with helping the people where you live? If you are observant, you can help people that fall through the cracks in the system. You can do it anonymously or outright, but charity starts at home.

nice concept....try your local merchants to see if you can put collection jars at their businesses. set up a small booth at a local flea market. if you are sincere things will start happening for you and your ministry.
