Get a cheap or even free program like Winamp on Download.com and open the file then save as a mp3 it does the conversion for you

I use Jodix to convert .wav to .mp3 on my little laptop (pentium 2) but I use Mystik Media's Blaze Media Convert on my pentium4
Both work well but Jodix is free

Get a program that converts WAV TO MP3.
mac os x?-->LameBrain(that's the name of a program)
just drop the file in the program icon and cclick convert.

you need to have a software .. soundForge or jukebox etc.
Open the wav file on the sound software and then click SAVE AS where you arew going to click mp3 as format.

in your wma ou could choose when you import cds to wma or mp3. try going to settings or google free audio conversons
