I prefered the Japanese version. It seems that I like all the Japanese horror films better than the american versions of them. If you like Japanese horror, you should check out Tartan Films http://www.tartanfilmsusa.com/
They have quite the collection of Japanese, Chinese and Korean Thrillers and Horrors.

i tried to watch the us version a few times but i never got through the whole movie. i saw the japanese one in passing but never watched it. what i saw of the us movie sucked. i didnt understand it at all.
