No.
Grey's Anatomy is nothing compared House M.D.
I don't even watch Grey's Anatomy.

Yeah House is much better...especially when it comes to the writing. Grey's Anatomy, whilst serious, is too much melodrama and too much like a soap opera. It's like, what's the show really about? Medicine or the lives of the doctors? They're two different things really so it depends on what you fancy. House is very much about the medical side of things (with some backstory on the characters and whatnot) and Greys Anatomy is more about the lives of the doctors. E.R. is similar to Greys Anatomy but it's also better because it's a nice even mix of "lives of the docs" and "all about the medicine" so to speak.

Def prefer House though.

House is more of a case by case programme whereas Grey's Anatomy is less focused on the actual medical cases and more about the personal lives of 5 interns at the hospital. It does touch on the medical stuff but not in the same depth as House. You'll probably be more keen on 'Medical Investigation' which has a different very in depth case each week and gets to grips with medical facts rather than consuming personal storylines.

It really depends on what kind of hospital drama you're into. I like House a lot. I like it because we get to know a little bit about the characters (it is fiction after all) but the medical situations are really well written. Grey's Anatomy is heavy weighted on the personal relationships of the doctors. It feels more like a soap opera to me that tries to tug at the heartstrings of people who also have personal relationship problems. That kind of stuff just doesn't interest me in hospital dramas. When ER started becoming too much about the people and never even talked about medicine anymore, that's when I checked out.

Yeah, Grey Anatomy is more like a soap opera - although it is good. House MD is totally brilliant - it's sarcastic and witty. I think you should watch both.

Nope, not even close, Greys anatomy is full of relationship issues, V.D, promiscuity and crap like that, but House is like Farking Cool , its a real medical drama with intellectual medical jargon and real life, problems, and the bjorky Doctor House whos like an antisocial shrew, who only lives to be a snooty ****, but with his comedic antics and hismedical smarts, i think its way better than GA

Grey's Anatomy was really good the first season, but unfortunately due to poor writing, after only two season's it has "Jumped the Shark".

Both are great shows, however Greys is more like a hospital based soap opera that focuses on the realtionships between the Dr's.

I'll say Grey's is better, I love soaps and hospital dramas, but just can't get into House at all, maybe it's his accent that puts me off. Grey's reminds me a bit of Ally McBeal, if you liked that then Grey's should appeal.
