Absolutely. Sorrow can be a wonderful emotion. Think about it. When do you feel things the most intensely? When you're really happy or really sad. Sorrow can open up a whole new plane of emotions because it brings you closer to things that you bury up or try to deny most of the time. We don't want to think about a lot of this stuff because it does sometimes make us unhappy, but when we're already unhappy we face more things, think about more things. Basically just let our thoughts flow more freely. I'm not much of a writer or artist. I write and draw and I really enjoy it, just not real good at it. Ha Ha. I do draw more on sorrow when I'm trying to get my feelings out. I think it's more intense, more real and profound. When I'm on top of the world happy, which unfortunately isn't all that often, I'm usually too wound up and hyper to stop and think about it that much. I enjoy the moment, but if I'm excited I just go with the feeling. Don't seem to take the time to examine it that much. Sorrow is when I slow down to brood about things and analyze them. It's the time when I feel okay about letting my thoughts wander around in the parts of my mind that I usually try to run and hide from. This is probably way more crap than you wanted to read. Sorry about that. I just can't seem to stop myself when I start rambling.

Yes I do. Some of the most beautiful music I've ever heard came from someone's broken heart. I've written my best poems during times of great sadness. It has given me the chance to cleanse my troubled heart.

Sorrow is knowledge: they who know the most
Must mourn the deepest o'er the fatal truth,
The Tree of Knowledge is not that of life.
