yes, agreed - I'm a nurse and see the failures in the NHS from the inside - at the hospital where I work the patient waiting list is appalling! Another big problem is that here in the southeast there are few jobs for newly qualified nurses but the government are recruiting nurses from abroad! I'm not being prejudiced against those nurses who are from another country, it just makes me cross that their isn't any jobs for our own nurses because there is no money but the government can afford to recruit from abroad! There is also the shortage of nurses because wards can't afford to employ nurses so patients care is also compromised.. so to sum it up - the NHS is a shambles!

The NHS is a screaming disaster because of the governments corruption and the high level of management corruption in the NHS. I know someone who is a nurse and she told me that the hospital she works for needed to save money, they had a huge management staff but to cut back they sack the nurses and secretaries. There is now a 6 week long back log of paper work because they won't hire more secretaries.

The NHS will never be any good when most of the money is used to create superfluous bureaucratic posts for Bliars' financial backers/supporters instead of being used to improve front line services.
