What is the average time it takes for a HPT to give a positive result after ovulation?

I know that most home pregnancy tests say they can predict 7-10 days after ovulation. I know everyone is different but wondered if there was an average length of time it takes to get an accurate result

Once you're a few days overdue is usually the average. Basically the longer you wait, the more accurate the result is. Otherwise, if it is a negative, you could still be pregnant, so it hasnt really told you anything new. I had a test (at the doctor) when I was 2 days overdue, and it was negative, but the when I was 2 weeks overdue, I went back and it was positive. It really depends on the person and how much HCG you produce. The amount of HCG doubles every day, I think it is, so the longer u wait the more accurate, also there's a higher concentration in the morning. These tests CAN pick it up 7-10 days, but that doesnt mean they will. If you test after your period is due, you can be 95% sure it is an accurate result. I know it's hard to wait! I used to take a test too early every month and then I would get my period, its a real let down, isn't it! Good Luck.

I would wait until 10-12 days after ovulation to test, even though they say they can predict earlier. If you've read the package they give you percentages on how accurate the test is so many days before your period is due and on the day your period is due. As you can see at around 7-10 days the test is only 50% accurate, give it a few more days. I tested the day before my period and got a faint positive so you can imagine if you test before that.

while you're purely 7-8dpo then a digitial attempt does no longer paintings yet :) attempt a regulare 20-25miu attempt and that could supply you a greater appropriate reading :)) actually desire it your month! plenty and many sticky bean airborne dirt and dirt!!
