I never believed it was him. Ok, he didn't exactly have a clean record but her shooting was in a different league. I see in the news that the jurors are slowly creeping out of the woodwork and claiming that they doubt it was him. This was an execution carried out by a trained assassin in retaliation for the tv studio that was blown up. Anyone agree? If so sign the free Barry George petition on the net.

I agree that his conviction is looking increasingly unsafe. As unsafe as he is unstable. I cannot see how one could extrapolate this growing unease with the conviction into an assumption that Jill was murdered as part of some elaborate 'revenge hit'. It just seems so complicated and unlikely, as well as being without purpose or usefulness. What would killing Jill the golden girl have achieved, apart from public outrage? the petition is a separate issue. Although his conviction appears shaky, I think the legal profession should sort it out, not possibly ill advised public opinion.
