I'm not a reptile fan, but huge animal lover. But he was so charismatic and his enthusiasm for life and amphibians, you couldn't help enjoying nature from his eyes. He really taught children and adults a different perspective about reptiles that has changed the way we look at them. Growing up, they were something that most people didn't know alot about. Now younger generations embrace them, understand more about them and have a real love for different species. He was an inspiration for many. He was an innovator who showed the world species in a new light. He was taken too soon and will be missed and never forgotten.

I wouldn't say inspired initially, although he is very entertaining.
However, kids and I watched special on Animal Planet last night (A 2004 documentary on his life), and from that I did pull some inspiration. Love your kids. Do what makes you happy. And Try to to leave this world a little better than you found it.
Mr. Irwin did all that and more.
RIP.

He inspired many people. Though he was a very in your face personality, and it was a bit much for many people to handle, he was a down to earth bloke who used his fame and considerable fortune to educate the public and help endangered species etc.
I still cant get over his death, he seemed invincible to me, its like killing off superman!
He will defiantly be missed, there wont be another one like him.

I really can't believe he died like that. It is so sad. He did inspire me. All those years getting close to animals and not getting hurt and one time he gets to close to a stingray and dies automatically. It is really sad. I can't believe that happened. He will truely be missed.
