1. good source of water
2. good organic sources of food
3. good source of oxygen to the body (any form of exercise)
4. love yourself first and then others.

The worldly people on here will be quick to tell you that you have to live for yourself, put youself first, do the things you like most, etc, to be happy. But the only way to be happy is to be fulfilling the purpose that God created you for. He created everyone with a purpose. There is a general purpose that everyone holds in common, and there is a specific purpose that He has just for you.

The general purpose He has for everyone is the answer to "what's the meaning of life" question. He created us to love Him, to be one with Him (by believing in His Son Jesus Christ that's possible) and to reveal His true nature by working together with the Holy Spirit that He will put inside you. That's the general purpose, and it begins when you say "yes" to Jesus Christ.

When you are on your way with that, then He can begin directing you toward your specific purpose. You have to find that out from Him on your own. But when you have what I mentioned above, and you are doing the thing He has given you to do on earth, then you can find real fulfillment and satisfaction - true happiness.

A lot of people make the mistake of going to "things" to make them happy, but that's just a temporary fix. Most people try to suck life out of somebody else, but that leads to broken and hurtful relationships. We were made and intended for a relationship with the Lord. We can never be happy apart from Him.

4. get a pet - there are studies that prove stroking a dog or cat lowers your stress levels.
5. enjoy the simple things in life.

always look at the positive side of life. count only your blessings. Never compare yourself to others, everyone is unique on it's own way. Take things lightly. have enough rest, sleep and nourishment.

There is no such thing as sadness. There is a mean level of happiness. When one goes bellow the level one is in a lower level of happiness.Above the mean level one is in a higher level.Make the mean level as lower as you can, it will make you stay in a higher level of happiness. smile.
