he was filming a show called world deadliest and well the sting ray is deadly also but i read that there have only been 3 to17 deaths recorded by cause of a sting ray

Everybody is saying that he took risks and stuff and it was inevitable that he'd die. However, try telling that to his 2 year old son. I feel so sorry for his family and am just glad that he was not killed in a more savage way, at least he will still look like the man she loved when his wife has to identify the body and say goodbye. RIP Steve.

His whole career was about respecting wildlife. I think this was a flook accident. But he died doing what he loved doing and he left a great legacy for caring animal lovers.. Let alone drawing attention to Australia his beloved homeland. His job was taking risk to show people wildlife and he took a big risk and lost.

I haven't heard the full story..but here's my guess. Sting-rays usually bury themselves in sand, in shallow water. Steve may have stepped on the ray without seeing it...

Okay enough is enough about the Croc Hunter. At no disrespect it's time to let him rest in peace and to let his family begin the healing process. To constantly bring him up in Yahoo Q & A is absurd! Enough is enough!

He died doing what he loved, and getting paid. I admire his passion, and courage.

i can't believe it either. but that is what he did was get close to the animals we wouldn't. may god rest his soul. its ashame. i was shocked!
