I have dark brown eyes, well they are almost black they are so dark, light brown/dark red hair and very, very pale skin. I had the same problem but I finally went and bought the Almay perfect eyes set. They have separated out the eye colors-blue, hazel, and brown. For the brown, there is brown mascara, 3 color eyeshadow (beige, dark brown and purple) and purple eyeliner. Yeah, that sounds gross, but the purple is the color opposite on the color wheel and it really does bring out the brown in the eyes. I didn't think that I would like it, but it really does make me look more awake and "bright eyed". You can get it any where that sales make up. Try to get it and try it out. See what you think. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Well you are discribing me also and I always where black and get complements all the time. This makes my eyes look bigger, well of course I actually make my line a little longer at the ends. I do also where pencil in the inner eye. Try wearing some eyeshadow along with the eyeliner and make the line thinner if you do but wear more than one color eyeshadow, play a little with colors and wear colored contact lenses once in a while

I have dark brown eyes and I always wear black eyeliner, I only use it on the top eye lid and not underneath as this seems to make my eyes look small and not as big as they really are. I then add black mascara, I use lighter colours for eyeshadow during the day for work, and go a littel heavier on the eyeshow for when I paint the town red! Ha! I suggest you stick to what you like.

I have dark eyes too. I suggest a brown liner, unless you're goin out at night. Black just seems like it's too much, too dark. Go for a brown & if ya don't like it then switch back to black

i have dark brown eyes too! i read that it would be good to use a gray or brown eyeliner. also, what i use is a violet-brown color. it really intensifies the color of my eyes.
you can buy the eyeliner at any drugstore. just look for a violet-brown color!
good luck!

Black tends to look harsh, use dark brown or charcoal and use a little white in the inside corners of your eyes (this will make your eyes look bigger and brighter) Make sure you wipe the pencils with a clean tissue after each use so you don't get infections

You CAN try a subtle line of black eyeliner to enhance the size of your eye size. But not too thick; don't press too hard. Maybe subtle/moderately dark brown eyeliner would do better. Give it a go!
Hope I answered you and good luck! : )

colors always brighten the eyes. but black can be nice-with the right outfit. it always depends on the clothes. try to match your eyeliner with a color in your top.
