Can somebody tell me what is this "lol" word means in some on the answers that people give on this website?

LOL = Laugh out loud

Laughing out loud. It can be used to suggest to someone reading it that what they have just read was funny, in your opinion, and they can laugh at your comical genius. It is used this way since you can't give someone a gentle elbow in the ribs to draw attention to your humour as you would be able to if you were speaking to them in person.
It is also used sometimes to indicate that if there is more than one way to interpret what has just been written, you intended the meaning to be humorous not offensive. For example, when Hilary Clinton was addressing a large gathering of eminent people in New York a protester interrupted her speech claiming "Bill Clinton should be bl##dy well hung" to which she very quickly replied "Unfortunately, he is" LOL

Lol stands for "laugh out loud"...its like telling you that that person is actually laughing at that moment..
