so as we know Steve got the "shaft" (no pun intended) by a sting ray. A STING RAY!?!?!? when was the last time you heard of someone getting a 12 inch Barb through the heart by a giant sting ray!? think about that. `BAM!' right through the heart.
did u see the example of the barb that was similiar in size to the one that struck steve? thing was enormous. its like getting stabbed prison style with a long ice pick!
DAMN!
I think he went fast, what do you think? how much blood was ejected before they got him out of the water? do you think it streamed out like the ink that an octopus squirts when evading and enemy?
where can I see this video, im curious!
what exactly was he doing when it happened? Y does CNN call it an Sting Ray ATTACK? I doubt that. Do you think that they caught the sting ray and killed it like they do to dogs and bears and mountain lions?
man man man

Ignore the folks who point fingers at you for asking this question. Steve Irwin chose a public life that was "sensationalized" at the very least. He always shocked with his willingness to risk his life in order to interact with extreme predators. His manner of death is shocking because he died in a situation that did NOT involve a predatory animal. Hundreds of tourists swim with stingrays daily. His demise could have happened to any one of us. This is a link to a site that describes an entire tourist industry built around snorkeling with stingrays.

Maybe his sensationalized death will remind us that all wildlife has the potential to inflict harm when we enter their territory, not just the extreme predators presented to us by the media.

Are you stupid or playing dumb? You can't watch the video cause the police or investigators have it to study exactly what happened. It was said that he was too close and made a wrong turn at the wrong time. There was no blood and it wasn't obvious reports said. He did pull it out when he got stabbed, that was probably the biggest mistake he made besides turning the wrong way at the wrong time and of course being too close to the animal.

He was still alive when he was pulled from the water but not for very long. He was dead on arrival. The stingray felt threatened, it didn't mean to kill Steve I am sure. Steve was nearly on top of it when it went into defense mode and stabbed him. The stingray wasn't killed. It wasn't its fault Steve and the camera guy got too close and invaded its space. His death is not a joke.

Dying isn't funny. The only people who look for death are those who wanna die and ultimately kill themselves. So with that being said, what sort of question is this?!? Have a nice day!

The only creative way to intentionally die is to save another life preferably a childs. If Steve wanted to take risks of that nature he should have been a firefighter or a rescue person then he could have died doing the best any person could be asked to do! I truly believe that firefighters and their rescue teams never get enough acknowledgement like this steve is receiving and they offer their own lives every single day of the careers yet they get nothing in return!
