ok heres the basic answer... I'll put it to you in simple explanation.
Theory of relativity = everyhing is relative.
The answer is no.... if running on speed of light and you put on your headlights the light is still ahead of you always!
So if something still the same, the speed i mean then something has to balance that effect.
The balance? the ans: "TIME".. it stays the same because time has slowed betwen you and the headlight.

if the spaceship switched its lights on while in full motion then it would be travelling at the same speed as the headlight beam and so the spaceman would only see the light once he had been splatted by the ship. if the lights were turned on before the ship reached the speed of light in its motion, then the spaceman would see the light beam before he got splatted. how long before would depend on the time between the lights being switched on and the ship reaching the speed of light.

The light bulbs from the headlights would be traveling the same speed as the spaceship...then the light emitted from them would travel outward at the speed of light PLUS the speed of the spaceship.
But no, the driver wouldn't see the lights because the light "beams" would not refract nor reflect on anything.

Yes, as the spaceship, its headlights and their projected light would all be travelling at the same speed - so everything would remain relative.

yes, depending on the speed of the spaceman relative to the space ship. the spaceship would probably apear motionless because of its great speed.

Yeh but no but yeh but every knows that if the spaceman saw the light then it would be too late cos he would be splatted on the windscreen cos when paul saw tracy behind the bikesheds pull her knickers down at the speed of light he had a smack in the gob long before the image of tracy's bum reached his eyes so there!!!!!!!!!!

Nope. The light would be stuck at the light source. Unless you mean the rear lights, which would appear to travel at twice the speed of light, relative to you.

What spaceman? if you were floating in space as it went passed yes you would, if you mean you are in the ship and you wanted them as headlights then no, because they would have nothing to reflect off.

Can you come up with an original question that hasn't been asked about a thousand times on this forum. Besides if you don't know the answer, you wouldn't be able to understand why the answer is what it is.
