it could be the baby just laying on a nerve. but w/ this being your 4th baby if you've never had this w/ the other pregnancies then i would call the doctor. it's probably nothing but it is better to be safe than sorry. if you ever question that anything is wrong always call the doctor. they don't mind it's their job to answer your questions. good luck to you

I am sure that you are not an idiot and know to talk to your Dr. and that you are curious upon what answers you get on here.
I actually experienced the same thing with 2 of my kids. I was told that it was the ligaments that hold my uterus in place were not growing at the same rate as everything else. It is nothing to worry about that it is just more aggravating than anything else.
The only really bad thing is that you will probably have the same problem if you have any more kids. Good luck to you.

I don't know how long it's been since you had your 3rd one, but either way the more pregnancies you have the weaker your uterus can get. Your doctor should be able to explain this to you. Also, don't be surpised if the labor pains seem a little more intense and you get contractions after having the baby.

I agree with Wildflowers. It's likely round ligament pain...which is pain in the supporting ligaments to the uterus that can sometimes start to hurt as the uterus gets bigger around your stage of pregancy. Such pains are normal, but it's always a good idea to check with the doctor with NEW pains when you are pregnant...just to be on the safe side.

I get pains like that but usually only when moving around. It's probably fine, but you should be able to call your doctor or the labor/delivery ward of the hospital and ask whether you need to be checked out. If you ever start spotting, go to the hospital.

Well, each pregnancy is different for one. But do you have any back pain? If you're that concerned you should talk to your Ob/Gyn about it. Better safe than sorry.
Good Luck :)

that happened to me the other day. i had a uti. i had no idea it didnt feel like a normal one where it burns to pee. it was just like sharp pains. i was really confused. soo maybe you should ask the dr if you can just stop by and have a urine dip to check that.

sounds like your baby may be resting his/herself on a nerve there while you sleep. that would be my guess, but if i were you i would still check with my doctor, you never know. its always better to be sure for yours and the babys sake.
