Yes it is sad. He was out of his element. He has had to many close calls and this time, his luck ran out. I hope his daughter is ok, she was with him when all this happened.

Very, only two other deaths from stingrays have happened, I met the guy and he is exactly what u saw on tv, he had passion and donated millions for animal care, he will be truely missed, a real Aussie Male, the man might be gone but we can keep his legacy goin, R.I.P Steve, Peace Mate.

Its like it was meant to be, I mean the probabilyty of some oen diying of a sting ray is around one in million. Its really sad =(
I feel really bad for his little kids.

lol... i dont mean to laugh, but i thought he same thing. It acutally was a sting ray that stung him, and the stinger pierced a whole through his heart, and he died shortly after. Just shows you that you can die at anytime. God bless him and his family.... he died doing what he loved.

lol me too xD out of all the things hes done he dies from a stingray... he was realli sad when he died coz i loved his show when i was youger on animal planet =(
