To people with great power, much is expected! And Bono is using his money and power to do good!
I think he is fantastic. He knows who he is. He knows what he believes in. He is not afraid of anyone or anything (what a man!) and grabs life by the balls and goes after the causes he believes in. He is not afraid to tell off any ******** of a politician, doesn't give a damn what stupid people have to say. And furthermore, makes the most amazing music on the planet.
How do you know what he does or doesn't do with his money? And why should he give up what he has? He has earned it with his God given talent and at least he uses what he has to do good and try to save lives. His work has brought great attention to his causes and what the hell do you nobodies who give nothing know about anything??? When is the last time you volunteered your time or gave money to help anybody? Sheesh.
More power to you Bono. Wish there were more people on this planet like you....I'm sure there are, but they just don't have the power that you do.
Why is it only Americans hate Bono? He is pretty well revered everywhere else??
Could it be you are really pissed off at your own stupid government for putting it's people SECOND while WAR is first? People aren't profitable but war is. You will soon be like a third world country yourself. Don't blame Bono for Katrina etc. Blame your governmnet who couldn't care less for the black people who mostly lived in New Orleans and stop expecting anyone who has ever made a red cent to come in and save the day. You have elected officials that you pay taxes to who have PLENTY of money to dish out any way they want.
Ever ask yourselves how governments come up with 150 billion for WAR while saying OOPS sorry, we just don't have money in our system for better health care?

He's just another rich person that makes headlines about how much they are concerned but rarely do all that much themselves. I saw a woman on the news the other day that was still suffering from the devastating effects of hurricane Katrina. I couldn't help thinking "where is Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Oprah, Bono, Bush, anyone with great wealth?" This woman is living in the streets with her children.
It's pathetic!

Sound guy, so is the other band members. Most people don't like him because he raises awareness of whats going on. That may make people feel guilty for not doing there part.
He has done his bit without question, (band aid, live aid) Nevermind the money he donates.
This questions already been asked and it seems that people don't like to be reminded of what's going on in the world. So the easy way out is to criticise those who are trying to make a difference.(shame on the lot of you)

Of course you may criticize Bono. You may criticize anyone if you feel the need for it. It all comes down to your arguments.
I think Bono is stupid, because he thinks spraying large amounts of money on poor countries is a solution. It doesn't work.

I have a go at him because he seems to want me to give up some of my dosh, when he already has more that I'll ever earn. If he was to give it all away, apart from a decent house (say £500000) and keep an investment that would provide him with an annual income of say £100000, I might start to take his requests seriously. (Both figures are much higher than my own situation incidentally)

People always point the finger at someone else to hide their own shortcomings . Bono could give everything he had to his chosen cause and people would say nothing because it makes them seem selfish . Also it would leave him powerless to influence the world (no-one listens to the poor)
If you hear someone say Tyson is a crap fighter ask if they would be willing to fight him . Talks cheap actually doing something isn't

I could care less about Bono or anyone else for that matter. And as an American I can criticize whomever I want, part of my rights. Frankly, I find him annoying and his music too.

Yes he's an annoying unelected official who is not famous for talking just singing.
Great heckle that occurred with Bono in Glasgow:
Bono on stage in Glasgow, talking about African poverty, clapping his hands together dramatically as he says:
'Every time... I clap my hands...a child in Africa... starves to death...'
Glaswegian voice: 'Stop f*ckin' doing it, then!'

Bono wants more of our taxt to be spent on debt relief. Funnily enough he has moved U2's and the holding companies accounts offshore so he doesn't pay UK income tax. Hippocrite.
