Our tendency to gossip is part of our fallen nature. The tongue, although relatively small in size compared to other muscles of our body, is the most difficult to control. Our words are mere expressions of what our hearts hold. It is in our fallen nature to embrace darkness, criticize, put down. We all need to learn how to look for and see what is good, pure, noble, and true. We choose to gossip and lie rather than to thank, praise and appreciate. We can learn not to...with love and acceptance. After all, no one is perfect.

Its all a mixture of things....jealousy,envy,hatred,attention etc. but it's funny cause of all the effort people put in cheap gossip, they end up getting nothing to brag about or absolutely nothing in return.

Seriously, people gossip because they have no life of their own. They say bad things about others to make themselves look better.

I don't know, because they have nothing better to do, they are jealous, they have sad empty and boring lives. I hate people who gossip.
