Other than the fact that it probably dries the skin, I’ve always wondered too if it does something to the facial muscles as well. (Or, muscles in general) People, who drink, seem to have saggy faces along with a lot of wrinkles. (Even when in their twenties and thirties)

The excessive use of alcohol puts pressure on many of the systems in the body charged with purification (eg. liver, kidneys). If these systems are overloaded, toxins stay in other parts, including your skin (which is your single largest organ).

if you are already predisposed to wrinkles (white, fair skinned, sun loving, smoker) then you will definately have more than average wrinkling of your skin. smoking and drinking go hand in hand so maybe that is what causes the muscles to sag. ever notice those lines all around the mouth of a smoker? plus you never really get good rest if you drink all the time........your sleep cycle is interupted by alcohol etc. also people with roseacea will see reddening of facial skin when they drink alcohol..........

Alcohol dehydrates your body faster than anything else. Dehydrated skin always looks dry and loses elasticity very quickly.

It takes its toll on the skin's elasticity, and naturally you wind up with wrinkled and dry skin.
