Sure free is good.. you can get many good spyware removers but nothing beats the good whip of Norton Protection Internet Security that Will stop anything like that. Also Mcafee Security Centre Has Proved itself good!

Well, all spyware programs are free: to find them jsut go to dodgy sites and download stuff, or use Bearshare or something. I wouldn't call any of them best though: all spyware is to be avoided.

What's that? You meant spyware removal programs? Why didn't you say earlier? Lots of people have given you places to get those, so I won't bother.

Try Ad-aware personal (www.lavasoft.de), spybot s&d 1.4, ewido anti-malware (avg.com) or windows defender. Windows defender can't detect much spyware (nothing, even when i run a full scan). Ad-aware is good, except it does not have real-time protection. I suggest you try Webroot Spyware Sweeper (only a few bucks). Remember not to get tricked into downloading rogue programs (i nearly got tricked).

Nobody has mentioned Spyware Blaster. Once you get your computer clean, spyware blaster will keep future spyware from loading on your system. I don't think that I have gotten any spyware since I installed spyware blaster.

SPYBOT hands down and AD AWARE SE . Spybot has realtime protection for Internet Explorer. So its the best pick. (Ad aware's realtime protection comes for paid, but it is really gud in eliminating spywares and adwares) Ad Aware SE even comes as a part of Google Pack.

You'll get both in http://www.download.com

(NOT superantispyware, coz i've heard that it is actually containing spywares)

I think the best for you is an open source program, with a free license, and free virus up-load.
I suggest for you : AVG Free.
It scan all your hard disk and delete all mallware, spyware, virus and any kind of problem.
Ah please, don't ever use spybot, is unsafe, 'cos it has inside a virus, and if you scan with norton antivirus, it said that he's got a virus inside, a trojian.
Or try to see by google: open source spyware or open source antivirus.

I use both Spybot Search & Detroy and Ad Aware. Not one spyware program is 100%.
