In Torino there's not a school! One of the nearest is at PASSO DELLO STELVIO!

Torino isn't in the mountains. I lived there for two years, trust me. The mountains are about an hour away by car or train. The snowboarding events for the 2006 Olympics were held in Bardonecchia. There are lots of places there that can help you learn to snowboard- a good resource is the Time Out Turin guidebook, which has a listing for local ski and snowboard companies towards the back of the book (most public libraries have this book).
