It says to me, "oh look, a teen girl with braces." What about them?

I would say that a teen girl who wears braces is taking care of her health and her looks. Braces are just one of those things we have to go through to reach who we are meant to become. It's better to get them done now than to go around as an adult with messed up teeth. And while you are young it's easier, when adults try to go back for braces they often have to wear them longer than teens. If anyone teases you just tell them that you are taking care of yourself and that you are actually lucky, some kids come from families who can't afford braces.

i dont think people view people with braces any differently then people without braces.
And i feel that teen girls with braces are awesome!

Braces these days are actually quite fashionable, my 10 year daughter says she badly wants me to allow her to have braces even though she has perfectly straight teeth...why? I ask her, because they're cool!!!

It says to me ''This is a girl who looks after her apperance!'', your teeth will look fab when you have the brace off!
Think of all the celebs that have had them recently!
Don't listen to anyone who says they are ugly or disgusting! Its the end result you have to focus on :-)

Why teen? Any one can be with braces....Don't think about such things or don't get self-conscious to that level..

it is normal coz even i used to have braces but initially everyone used to tease but after treatment everyone stopped teasing me coz i was totally changed thanx to those braces

I think it's very normal. Plus if anyone wants to make fun of you just remember that in a short period of time you will have much better teeth than they do!!

and my sister has had them removed just few days back
and now she is fab
