Periodically I have upset stomach for long periods, and everything seems to start with it hit by some cold air or me drinking some cold water. The strange thing is that this upset stomach lasts then for long time, even weeks, as if my stomach suddenly becomes weak and sensitive.
Any idea?

some people beleve that drinking cold water/drinks is bad for your stomach, this is often a cultural difference, eg. I think this is commonly beleved in China, but I think that it is unlikely that this is causing your upset stomach. If this were true then the effects would be the same with any cold drink - I may be wrong but I expect you drink cold drinks on a regular basis? You really should go and check with your doctor - you could have an infection, or irritable bowl syndrome. Your dr can give you the best advice and can give you an examination to work out the cause of your stomach problems if required.

Hope you feel better soon :)

Yes, and often the same thing can happen with hot drinks. You should have drinks and food at a temperature that is comfortable in your mouth. If you can place the food or drink in your mouth without discomfort that is a good indication it will not be severe on the stomach. You would do well to attend a doctor and be examined as this persistent pain may indicate an ulcer.

No cold water or air could not cause this.
This sounds like bouts of Gastritis which is inflamation of the stomach lining due to excessive acid or infection. You can get tablets from your GP to treat this. You could also have a stomach ulcer or IBS ? Either way I think you are due a trip to your GP so they can check you over and run some tests...it isn't normal to keep suffering like this and is completely unneccesary!!! Take care xx

YES! Avoid drinking cold drinks, especially on an empty stomach and see a doctor. Something is wrong with your stomach and the cold drink is irritating it

Lots of sleep and water. Many people use cold medicines but for me I found that when I use them I feel miserable longer even though it makes me feel better right away. Now I don't take any cold meds except night time stuff so I can sleep well.

No. But if that is the best link you can think of, don't drink cold water, and wrap up warm.
