You have to create it within yourself. Become totally at peace with yourself. Stop the criticism, just accept what is. From there you can let it ripple out into the world. Create a peaceful home. Peaceful neighborhood, community, town, country,.... but it has to start with the individual. Peace.

Sit alone in a isolated place. (is it possible?). Sit quiet in a comfortable posture on a comfortable firm and soft seating. (Preferably Padmasana, see in yoga postures of any yoga sit for padmasana). Sit straight and erect. Sit peacefully and observe the mind, what it is thinking, where it is going, what its desires are, what the problems are etc. Practice this everyday at certain time regularly ranging from 10 to 60 minutes. You will find that you got the peace, if and only if you can do all the above.

Peace is a state of mind we would all like to attain. Yet peace is found in many forms. Of which we all look toward and for.

Where do we look for peace? we look within.
How do we attain peace? we look within.

Peace and mankind? Man is the harbinger of destruction and always craves for peace no matter the initial outcome.

Search for it within yourself. Grow the habit of regular meditation if it is the mental peace you are talking about. Get rid of the negative feelings that nibbles at your heart and mind. It sounds difficult and is easier said than done but its worth giving a try.

Well I am sorry to say that peace is not tangible in today's world your best chance is to create it in your own heart. Make that spot inside you that nobody can touch and call it peace. Whenever you have pain go to that spot and find your peace.

are you prepared to learn?

or, if i started to tell you, would you immediately glaze over and start looking around for something else?

i mean, if i told you, would you go there?

or would you say, hmph, and go to the movies?

if i told you, would you think: oh i dont want to be told by anyone, i want to find it myself?

if i told you, would you think: who does he think he is?

because people do, you know

which sort do you want, world peace, or personal inner self-experienced feeling of blissful beautiful peace?

both sorts are available

a tip in the meantime: if you are feeling very un at peace, if your head feels like a battlefield, etc, you dont HAVE to get excited and shout and run around and scream - you can remain calm and composed and say [if you feel like telling anyone, or to yourself]: i am feeling a lot of unpeace, mmm, i'll have to think what i can do about this

the unpeace may not be doing any physical damage - and even if it was, there is still no need to get excited, you can just think: now what is best to do about this?
