Get involved in your community, find hobbies that interest you and the boyfriend together, like a gym, or church, or well.. you know what interest you and yours..
In order to make friends, you have to be able to be around people, But since you are new to the neighborhood, maybe invite some neighbors to an outdoor bbq to introduce yourself. You may receive some invites the next time they have a get together.

The best is to be yourself and interact more. Get yourself involve in anything that interest you.
Presuming that you have plenty of spare time, read the book by Dale Carnegie called How to win friends and influence people. Great Book!

Be with him but have just abet of a time 4 your self..be nice to nabhours.. and be kind and most of all be your self , and when your in a restaurant or a bar or somthin u could meet friends. and be honest .just be your self and friends will come to u but be ware of friends who like only ur looks or stuff cause theyll hurt u bad when u need most.make friends with ppl who love u 4 who u are..

go to the laundry mat or maybe the library the park i don't know dont be afraid to just talk to people, nice car i like your shirt something simple to get you started...good luck
