I want to get a divorce rather quick and cheap but i dont really have alot of money and weve been apart for a year now

I got a cheap divorce. $195! Not bad. I just wanted rid of him. I had nothing that he wanted to fight for. We did have a son. But he didn't want him either. It took about a year only because he waited untill the last possible day to sign the papers. He's just an idiot. If he wouldn't have waitied it woul have only taken a few months.
I actually called one of those lawyers in the newspaper that advertise in the classifieds. Buy a paper I'm sure you'll find one.

divorces these days are fairly cheap if no kids or a lot of property is owned. see a lawyer and he'll tell you the fees for filing and his retainer. shop around for lower cost. filing fee is constant, retainer goes up and down. go to local lawyer.

Depends on where you live. Also, if there are children involved, then forget the quick (and cheap) parts.

depends on if there are minor children involved, there are resources out there that will help you if you dont have a lot of income. Try looking into legal Aid in your state.. Good Luck
